More About Limit Switch and Pilot Valve
A limit switch is a switch device assembled in a housing to protect the built-in micro switch from damage by external force, water, oil, gas, dust, etc. It is especially suitable for industrial occasions that have special requirements for mechanical strength and environmental adaptability.
The shell shape of the limit switch is roughly divided into horizontal type, vertical type and composite type. Its core components mainly include built-in micro switches, driving mechanisms, shells and key electrical contact components.
Drive mechanism type
The driving mechanism of the limit switch directly affects its sealing performance and action characteristics, and is mainly divided into three categories:
1) Piston type:
driven by the reciprocating motion of the plunger. It is divided into two sub-types according to the sealing method: type A uses O-ring or film sealing, its sealing rubber is not exposed and has strong resistance to cutting debris; type B uses rubber cap sealing, which has better sealing performance, but the rubber cap may be damaged by hot debris. The amount of air compression needs to be controlled in the design, and an OT absorption mechanism is often equipped to extend the life of the micro switch.
2) Hinge rocker type:
The end of the rocker (ball) is used to amplify the plunger stroke, and the OT absorption mechanism is usually not used.
3) Rotating pendulum type:
Driven by a rotary pendulum, there are multiple design variations of the reset mechanism.
