The IP8000 series electro-pneumatic positioner is a precision instrument used to control pneumatic actuators. It converts the input current signal into a pneumatic output to accurately drive actuators such as valves.  ‌

This series of products is mainly divided into two installation types: lever type (IP8000) and rotary type (IP8100) to adapt to different types of actuators.  Its core models include standard electro-pneumatic positioners (IP8000/8100 series) and intelligent positioners with advanced functions (IP8001/8101 series)

 

The main technical characteristics are as follows:‌

1) Input signal‌: The standard input current is 4~20mA DC.  ‌

2) Air supply pressure range‌: 0.14~0.7 MPa.  ‌

3) Protection level‌: Meets JIS F8007 IP65 standard (equivalent to IEC 60529), and has strong dustproof and waterproof capabilities.  ‌

4) Environmental adaptability‌: Can work in ambient temperatures from -20°C to 80°C (non-explosion-proof situations).  ‌

5) Explosion-proof certification‌: The product has a variety of explosion-proof structures to meet different safety requirements.  The electro-pneumatic positioner has TIIS pressure-proof explosion-proof (ExdⅡBT5) and ATEX intrinsically safe explosion-proof (Ⅱ2G Ex h ibⅡCT5/T6 Gb) certification.  The intelligent positioner complies with the higher level ATEX intrinsically safe explosion-proof standard (Ⅱ1G Ex h iaⅡCT4/T5/T6 Ga).  ‌

6) Performance parameters‌: It has high sensitivity (within 0.1%F.S.), good linear accuracy (within ±1%F.S.) and low hysteresis (within 0.75%F.S.).  ‌

7) Additional features‌: The intelligent positioner model (IP8001/8101) supports HART communication protocol for easy integration into digital control systems.  ‌Some models are also designed for greater water resistance.  ‌

 

Typical applications and selection‌

This positioner is suitable for actuators with a stroke of 10~85mm (lever type) or a rotation angle of 60°~100° (rotary type).  ‌When selecting, the specific model needs to be determined based on parameters such as actuator type (lever or rotary), whether intelligent communication function (HART) is required, working environment (whether explosion-proof or enhanced water-resistant protection is required), and specific pipe diameter.  ‌

Operations such as installation, wiring, zero point and span adjustment must follow the safety regulations and procedures in the product manual.  ‌
